If so, look at the role below! \n\nLocation: London\nContract Duration: 12 months + yearly extensions\nStart Date: ASAP/Immediately\nWorking Pattern: Monday to Friday (10 hour days & 5 hour days on Fridays) + potential weekend work\nRate: £700-£850per day Outside IR35 DOE - All in \n\nResponsibilities:\n\nLead and deliver the commissioning of HV substations and associated systems across SSEN projects initially, & SPEN projects longer term.\nDevelop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and test documentation.\nPerform functional testing, fault-finding, and verification of protection and control systems.\nEnsure all works comply with SSEN & SPEN safety rules and standards.\nLiaise with project management, design, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.\nProduce detailed commissioning reports, test results, and completion documentation.\nSupport project handover and ensure all systems are energised safely and on schedule.
\n\nRequirements\n\nValid SSEN or SPEN authorisation\nCat 1 and Cat 3 SSE authorisation\nProven track record commissioning HV / EHV substations (typically 132kV-400kV).\nStrong understanding of protection relays, SCADA systems, and control panels.\nDemonstrated experience working under UK DNO / TSO safety rules.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple commissioning packages concurrently.\nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\nRight to work in the UK and flexibility to travel between sites as required.If this is of interest, get in touch with Alex at JAM as soon as possible
